Princess Tower

Monday, March 7, 2011

A couple of weeks ago, a lady called and asked if I could make a 'Princess Tower'
 for her daughter's birthday.

Well, I've never made such a thing...and I'm not that crafty...and I'm right in the middle of a large remo job...

but,

sure...why not.

She had seen other little homemade houses' I'd made and felt sure I could make a 'tower'.

I shopped the house for things I had and found an old tube( that a painting had been shipped in) and thought it may work.
My contractor guys cut it in half for me (so glad they are here) and fixed a top for it!!

I got two towers out of it! One for her and one for Madi (that I've still got to make)!

I started with this.

I painted it white and then started painting on the 'stone'.

I spray painted white over this...and it turned the 'stone' gray.

Then, I went to work on the top. It's was hard trying to come up with a 'structure' for the top of the tower...

But...

My super handy contractor guys made me this little 'house' for the top...and it worked out great!!

I painted vines up the sides and back and glued on flowers.

I also painted the windows and doors and raillings and glued moss to the top and around the windows.
(I'm no artist and this was my first time...I hope my second one turns out better)

I used some dried flowers that I had and glued them all over the place!!

The look like...Little Trees

The cone top was a large party hat from the dollar tree!

I cut circles out on my cricut and made the 'shingle' roof .

I thought the window on top was presh!

I thought it turned out pretty cute...for my first 'Princess Tower'...
