Yesterday, Barrett's class went on it's first field trip to Jekyll Island...Yay!!! Our first stop was the Jekyll Island 4-H center. The class spent 2 hours learning all sorts of fun facts on beach ecology. After a picnic lunch we toured the Jekyll Island Sea Turtle Center where they got to see Sea Turtles that are being taken care of until they are released back into the ocean. The day was long, hot, loud and yes, a little bit scary, but sooo worth it!!
Oh yeah, in case you're wondering about the picture...It's all the boys in Barrett's class, walking in the ocean with their good clothes and shoes on!!! (the girls didn't do that) It got worse before it was over, but at least they will have really cool stories to talk about at school;-)
