The Big Oak

Hello everyone!

Well, I'm not sure if we can call ourselves "Beneath the Big Oak" any longer?

Part of the tree broke off a couple of days ago and we are all still in shock! I walked out of the kitchen one minute and it was there, came back and it was covering the backyard. Go figure? We haven't had any bad weather and the tree isn't rotten. I guess it just got too big!

It's too early to tell if the rest of the tree can be saved. I hope so...it is our only shade back there! Barrett asked how long it would take for another one to grow that big.

Oh, about 25 years!
